Torn apart

Wanting to take flight
Scared of all around
left feeling closed and tight

Why cant i touch the sky
Oh how i wish i could fly
Leave all else behind
But only in my mind
When i dream
Only during the day
When i lie awake
Timid so i fake
A smile
Heart felt words
And empty laughs

A Trained
Sharpened brain
Uplifting
But never drifting
With these feelings
